Teremok means “little hideaway” in Russian and is an oasis of serenity close to the beach. Spacious rooms each boast their own balcony offering breathtaking sea views or a vantage point of the land's park-like garden. Hands-on owners (associated with The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway) ensure that personalised service and attention to detail are mandatory in this multi-million rand Umhlanga development. ACCOMMODATIONEach individually decorated room offers extra length beds (twin or king size), handcrafted ceiling fans, airconditioning and, while most have a separate entrance, each has its own private balcony. The open plan bathrooms have a large shower, freestanding bath, double basins and a separate toilet and bidet. Extras include a home entertainment system with DVD player and flat screen TV as well as free ADSL internet connection. BREAKFASTDelicious homemade breakfasts are prepared by two specially trained cooks in the open plan kitchen. The menu works on a six day cycle and each offers a selection of cereals and yoghurt while the remaining three courses consist of a fruit dish, pastries, muffins or breakfast breads and two hot breakfast options. WELLNESS CENTREThe Wellness Centre is equipped with cardio-vascular equipment (including upright and recumbent bicycles and a treadmill) and free weights that may be used free of charge. The Wellness Centre is open from 05h00 to 22h00. A treatment room can also be found in the Wellness Centre and a personal trainer or therapist (also available after hours) can be booked on behalf of guests. Treatments available include a combination of the following therapies: Swedish Massage (Deep Tissue Massage), General Massage, Acupressure (Shiatsu), Reiki, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. DIRECTIONS: From Durban International Airport Take the N2 north bound to Stanger (36km to Teremok) From Johannesburg, take the N2 north bound to Stanger at the multi-level interchange just outside Durban (21km to Teremok) Take exit 182 for the M41 to Umhlanga and Mt Edgecombe At the traffic lights at the top of the off-ramp, turn right onto the M41 to Umhlanga 1km later, take the off-ramp for the M12 to Umhlanga Rocks Drive and Umhlanga Ridge At the traffic lights at the top of the off-ramp, turn left into Umhlanga Rocks Drive Proceed 800 metres along Umhlanga Rocks Drive past Umhlanga Hospital until you reach the second traffic circle, and take the third exit which takes you into Umhlanga Rocks At the third set of traffic lights (just past the bridge over the M4 from Durban), turn right (at Buxtons Village / Steers) into Ridge Road At the first intersection, turn left into Ocean Way and follow it to the bottom, following the road right into Marine Drive Travel 800 metres along Marine Drive where you will find Teremok at number 49 on your right We look forward to welcoming you to Teremok Lodge.
