Dinner is available by arrangement and may either be served in the more formal dining room, beautifully furnished with yellowwood and stinkwood, or in the breakfast room, leading directly onto the the pool patio. At Ocean Grove we pride ourselves on serving the best breakfast on the South Coast, whether your choice is full English or Continental. This is normally served in the breakfast room where, from June to November, you are often treated to a view of whales and Dolphins in the sea below.

FACILITIES

Our sparkling, heated pool, overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean, can be enjoyed throughout the year. Enjoy a game of tennis on our private court to the sound of the crashing surf in the background.

Whether watching the sun rise over the ocean, or enjoying sundowners in the magnificent, park like garden, under majestic, indigenous trees, the experience remains memorable.

ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES

This region offers many exciting attractions. At Ocean Grove, we will happily assist with arrangements for you to take part in any of the following activities:

Riding horses in the surf or hiking the many trails in the area - this is the outdoors at it's best. Whether it's viewing the whales or dolphins, or rafting the the white water - it's on our doorstep. One on one with a rope and a mountain or diving the Indian Ocean - the choice is yours.

There are numerous quiet beaches where one can stroll peacefully, enjoying the sand between the toes and the sheer bliss of being at one with the Indian Ocean. Margate, Ramsgate and Marina Beach have been awarded the international Blue Flag status. Ramsgate, Manaba, Port Shepstone, Umtentweni, Southport, Munster, Marina Beach, Leisure Bay, Trafalgar and Southbroom tend not to get too crowded.

For fun in the sun and entertainment for the whole family, then Margate, Uvongo, St Mikes, Port Edward or Hibberdene beach are the places to be. In season beach volley ball, games and live entertainment are provided for your enjoyment. The main beaches are all protected by shark nets and have life guards on hand. Shelly Beach is the home of the Sonny Evans Small Craft Harbour, the largest of it's kind south of Durban. The National Sea Rescue Institute and the Shelly Beach Ski Boat Club are based here.
