Set in 40 acres of pastureland, the original family homestead built in 1912 has been restored to its full Victorian / Edwardian splendour by your hosts, Mike Macnab and Lynne Holding.

In the heart of 'Midlands Meander' country, Lastingham Guest House is ideally situated for those taking part in or watching events such as the Comrades Marathon, the Midmar Mile, the Hilton Arts Festival and the the Midlands Marathon. We also offer ideal bed and breakfast accommodation for parents with pupils at famous schools such as Michaelhouse, Hilton College and St Anne's College. It is also within easy distance of Treverton, Clifton and Kings School.
Accommodation
Scattered around the house in the lush gardens overlooking a dam, are individually appointed luxurious en-suite rooms, designed by Lynne drawing on her 14 years experience as an interior designer. Honeymoon Suite
Our very private honeymoon suite, decorated in relish green, features a jacuzzi bath, a fireplace, large lounge and a scenic view of the Caversham Valley. Designed by a decorating artist for an experience to remember, the honeymoon suite is in a wonderful country garden setting with views of pastures and rolling hills.
Cuisine
The large drawing room features a huge brick fireplace and an honesty bar. In winter this is a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine, and mull over the day's meander or engage in some lively discussion. Country hospitality means you don't have to drive anywhere to find dinner, here you can enjoy some of Lynne and Mikes' renowned cuisine.
Conferences
The Lastingham Conference Venue is fully equipped for conferences and workshops. Our fabulous country garden setting is also ideal for functions. The old stables have been converted into a fully equipped conference centre. The conference facility can accommodate up to 30 people for one day conferences and workshops or smaller groups for longer getaways.
Function Venue
The conference venue and garden are ideal for business presentations, product launches, Christmas lunches, family get togethers and club reunions. In the heart of the 'education belt' the Lastingham functions venue is located within easy reach of schools such as Hilton, St Annes, Michaelhouse, Clifton, Kings and Treverton.
Weddings
Wedding Receptions to remember: French doors opening onto the surrounding paddock make this centre ideal for large and small wedding receptions in fabulous country garden surroundings. We offer a fully inclusive wedding reception package that attends to every detail and your every need. We cater for wedding receptions of up to 80 guests. Wedding ceremonies are easily arranged at nearby chapels and churches (just a few minutes away) including the the famous Michaelhouse Chapel.
