DESCRIPTION:

The Kamberg foothills in KwaZulu Natal's Drakensberg, hold an inviting spring of calmness with an air of activity. Glengarry can awe the adventurous with its electrified caravan and camp sites, fly fishing and mountain bike trails.

Visit us and enjoy the peace and beauty of the Kamberg Valley in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Glengarry comfortably accommodates the classic holiday maker with thatched one and two bedroom self catering chalets bordered by a 9 hole golf course, overlooking the Little Mooi River flanked by the Drakensberg foothills.

Accommodation


Self catering chalets
Glengarry offers one and two bedroom, fully furnished self-catering chalets. They each have a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave) and a dining room/lounge with a fireplace. Laundry facilities are available. Bed linen is provided, so all you need to bring to our chalets are your towels, your food and yourselves.

Caravan and Camping sites
Caravan and Camping sites are level, partially shaded, and grassed for comfort. Now both the upper and lower sites are provided with electricity. The lower area remains popular for its seclusion and large open recreational area. Enjoy swimming in the safe and refreshing Little Mooi River. Both sites have modern ablutions with an abundance of hot and cold water.

Facilities


We have a Conference Hall for use by groups - communal braai and DSTV provided. We also have a cottage bakery on site catering for our guests. Our shop stocks cool drinks, meat, charcoal and snacks and hires out games.

• Accommodation for up to 34 delegates in our cottages.
• Seating in the conference hall can be either informal lounge seats or rows of chairs.

Activities


• Glengarry has a 9 hole golf course (clubs for hire)
• Stocked dams and the Little Mooi River for trout fishing (Rods for hire)
• Mountain bike trails (MTB's for hire), birding, river tubing and swimming.
• A full size bowling green is nearing completion.
• Horse riding is offered in the area
• Bushman's Painting Guided walks.
• Highmoor and Kamberg Nature Reserve also offer trout fishing nearby.
• The Midlands Meander Craft Route and shops are easily accessible to our guests.

DIRECTIONS:

From the South
Take the N3 Northbound until Nottingham Road (Exit 132)
Turn off freeway - turn right towards the village of Nottingham Road
Turn right under railway bridge and through village on to Rosetta (8 kms away)
At Rosetta turn left up the Kamberg Road - D164
Travel 31 kms along this tar road - go past turnoff to Kamberg Nature reserve
Next turn off on left signposted "Glengarry" & Highmoor"
Glengarry is first on right. (Tar to gate) 185 kms ex Durban

From the North
Take N3 until Mooi River Plaza - pay toll on far left and exit immediately
Turn right over freeway until T junction - Engen and Wimpy straight ahead
Turn left onto Old Main Road (R103) to Rosetta (7 kms)
At Rosetta turn right up the Kamberg Road - D164
Travel 31 kms along this tar road - go past turnoff to Kamberg Nature reserve
Next turn off on left signposted "Glengarry" & Highmoor"
Glengarry is first on right. (Tar to gate) 38 kms ex Mooi River
