We are conveniently situated in Morningside - Durban’s most exclusive and up-market address and overlook Durban’s famous Mitchell Park. You will often find Guinea Fowl or Peacock on the property or running up and down the road. Jameson Park, Burman Bush Nature Reserve and all the tree lined streets add extra lushness to the area. Fiddlers Rest sits adjacent to Kings House which is the State President’s residence when he visits the city. ACCOMMODATIONYou are invited to relax in the large tropical gardens or to have a swim in the sparkling pool and enjoy the wonderful Durban sunshine. One room has a queen size bed and the other an option of 2 twin beds or a king size bed. Garden Cottage The Garden Cottage is surrounded by lush tropical gardens overlooking the swimming pool. The cottage consists of a double room with queen size bed, fully equipped kitchen, lounge / dining area with a double sleeper couch in the lounge. The cottage is also suitable for self-catering or long term accommodation. Inside Suite The Inside Suite consists of two adjoining rooms sharing one bathroom. One of the rooms has a queen size bed and the other a double bed. An extra bed can be added if necessary. The inside suite has a wonderful view of the amazing garden and pool and also overlooks Durban’s famous Mitchell Park. BREAKFASTSumptuous full English breakfasts are served in the gracious dining room. Special dietary requirements or food preferences are offered by prior arrangement. DIRECTIONS: From Durban International Airport Take the N2 Stanger / N3 Pietermaritzburg exit from Airport and proceed for approx. 15 km. (Sign 165) Take Durban turnoff and this joins the N3 (from Pietermaritzburg)and continue for approx. 3 km until Tollgate / Berea off-ramp. Continue until (Sign 2) the M13 Berea Road off-ramp. Take this and stay in left hand lane. Turn left at the traffic light into Essenwood Road and then right into St. Thomas Road Travel to next traffic light and turn left into Musgrave Road Proceed for about 3km and you will come to a 4-way intersection Turn left into Nimmo Road with Mitchell Park on your right and Jameson Park on your left. Take the first right turn into Havelock Crescent and we are number 11 which is just around the bend on the left side of the road going up.
