Chestnut Cottage is situated in Kwa-Zulu Natal, one of South Africa's most visited tourist destinations. For the business or international / domestic traveler, we are the ideal stopover and close to major centres, airports, game parks and Durban's ICC.

A family friendly establishment, our rooms have their own entrance and patio, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette (microwave only). All rooms have a television and BBQ facilities are close by. All rooms have a fan and air-conditioning is optional at an additional charge.

ACCOMMODATION

Room 1: Double bed and bathroom, kitchenette, bar fridge and microwave only.
Room 2: Queen bed and bathroom kitchenette, bar fridge and microwave only.
Room 3 (Bed Only or B&B):Queen bed and shower room. Room has microwave and bar fridge.
Room 4: Queen bed and shower room, kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave only (upstairs).
Family Room 1: Main double bed (room) and bathroom. Open-plan kitchenette (bar fridge and microwave only) with 2 single beds. Suitable for 2 adults + 2 kids.
Family Room 4: Main Queen bed (room) and 2nd bedroom has bunk beds (2 singles). Shower room and kitchenette (bar fridge & microwave only). Suitable for 2 adults + 2 kids. (upstairs).

DIRECTIONS:

From Johannesburg:
From Johannesburg take the N3 straight towards Durban, when arriving in the Ethekwini Municipal district area (Durban) while on the N3 just pass the Pavillion Shopping Centre you will come across a network of bridges just before entering the city itself called "Spaghetti Junction" Keep on the far left hand lane just before going over the network of bridges which will have sign boards directing you to the N2 Freeway, north coast of KZN, Richards Bay, Stanger etc.

From Durban International Airport as well
Carry on with the N2 north bound towards the north coast till you arrive at the Umhlanga/ Mount Edgecombe Off ramp. Take the Umhlanga Rocks off-ramp left, and then at the traffic light turn right. Next off-ramp will be Umhlanga Rocks Drive to the left. Go past the McDonalds, the Shell garage and the hospital. Keep to your left into Herrwood Drive (past the Sharks Board). Take first turning left into Autumn Drive and carry on straight till you get to Chestnut Crescent. Turn left and then right into Chestnut Crescent. We are No. 50, the third house on the right.
