Umhlanga Rocks is a tropical paradise - a place where jaded city dwellers are guaranteed leisure and enjoyment. This premier holiday destination has been dubbed the ‘Riviera’ of the KwaZulu Natal North Coast because of the beautiful beaches, the vast variety of outdoor restaurants in a laid-back village atmosphere. The promenade running from Durban View Park to the Umhlanga Nature Reserve is a favourite with walkers and joggers.

Warm water and near perfect weather year round make this one of the most exclusive coastal holiday resorts in South Africa. Life guards are stationed at both Umhlanga main beach and Bronze beach within easy walking distance from the Breakers Resort.

Accommodation

328 Breakers Resort is located in the privately owned section of the resort enjoying partial sea views. It is an up-market two bedroom apartment accommodating up to four people and consists of one queen bed, and two single beds, a lounge / dinning area, with TV which has selected DSTV Channels and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove.

The unit is serviced daily Monday to Saturday excluding public holidays. Bed linen and bath towels are supplied. (Please bring your own beach towels). This unit has ducted air-conditioning throughout with fans in the main bedroom and living area. Our guests enjoy access to all the Hotel facilities including room service. 328 Breakers Resort is allocated one undercover secure parking, additional open parking and parking for trailers is subject to availability. There is direct beach access from the resort.

Facilities

Breakers Resort is located on the Umhlanga Beach Front. Having once again been awarded the Gold Crown award which is the highest rating a resort can receive, Breakers Resort boasts a stunning pool, restaurant, coffee shop, pool bar, tennis court, small gym, and includes a trampoline and jungle gym for the children with the recent addition of action cricket and golf driving net. During the school holiday season entertainment is laid on for the children around the pool allowing the parents to relax and enjoy the sun on one of the many sun loungers.

Location

For the water lovers Umhlanga is a prime site for surfing, deep sea fishing and scuba diving. For the nature lovers the resort backs on to the Umhlanga Nature Reserve where various bird life and buck can be observed. A mere 10 minute walk will bring you to the centre of Umhlanga, a vibrant town filled with shops, restaurants, and coffee shops.

A 5 minute drive will take you to Gateway Theatre of Shopping which has cinemas, the Wave House and rock climbing to name just a few activities. Within 15 minutes six major upmarket golf courses can be reached and with in a 2 to 3 hour drive you can find yourself either in the Drakensberg Mountains or at one of many Big 5 Game Reserves.
