DESCRIPTION:
Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful are three of the best-suited words to describe Tarn, with its spectacular views of sprawling gardens, majestic mountains and forests, it’s very easy to get lost in the beauty of the property and its surroundings. “Welcome to our slice of heaven, our piece of paradise”.
Tarn is nestled up on a hill in the Crags on a privately owned and managed estate comprising of a 100 acres of indigenous forest. Located on the Garden Route where the Tsitsikamma Forest overlaps the Outeniqua Mountain Range. Situated between Plettenberg Bay / Keurbooms (8km) and Natures Valley (10km), which are some of South Africa’s most stunning coastlines and beaches.
ACCOMMODATION
Tarn offers 9 individually styled, en-suite bed-rooms with bidet. All our rooms are ground level, have a patio with garden furniture and beautiful garden- and mountain views.
The Rooms
2 sunny Standard Twin (of which one has separate shower and bath).
2 Standard Queen-size (shower over bath).
4 Luxury rooms, as well Twin or King-size (1 with sleeper couch, 2 with double oval bath, 2 with fire-place, all with separate shower and bath).
1 ethnic Rondavel, which has a Double- and a single bed (shower only).
Each bedroom has a fan, heater, coffee-tea making facilities, drinking water, welcome beverage, hiking stick, umbrella, swimming pool towels, extra blanket, hair dryer, torch and mosquito repellent.
CHILDREN
We accept children of all ages! We have 2 camper beds and 2 camper cots. We also have high chairs. Baby-sitting on request.
Our rooms are suitable to share with children, with a max of one additional cot and one camper bed. If the second child is too old for a cot, we recommend taking either one of our Luxury rooms, with a sleeper couch and we put up one additional camper bed.
Or we offer one Luxury room (Sunbird) for the parents and one Standard Twin for the children (Swallow). Those two rooms are right next to each other and have an interleading corridor and separate entrance. In this case the children have their own room and they would be charged full rate.
DINING
Tarn has its own In-House Restaurant for your guest’s convenience. A 3-course dinner is served and light lunches are offered on request. We have a liquor license for our bar and offer some of South Africa’s fine wines. We include delicious, hearty South African full English or Continental Breakfasts. We also cater for special dietary requirements (i.e. Vegetarians).
