DESCRIPTION:

Shining Waters is a TGCSA 4 star rated Guest House, overlooking the Indian Ocean in front, with Island Lake and the Outeniqua mountains in the back. Close to the friendly little village of Wilderness, within minutes you will find yourself exploring the Wilderness National Park, canoeing on the Touw River, or take a drive up to famous Swartberg Pass.

Watch dolphins and whales playing out on the ocean from your bedroom or terrace. Situated high upon the Indian Ocean, overlooking Wilderness Beach and well known “Flat Rock”, Shining Waters Guest House welcomes you, to spend some wonderful days in a relaxed atmosphere warm “Swiss-South African” hospitality awaits you. Accommodation


One single and one double room standard, four deluxe double rooms, one newly decorated suite. All rooms are en-suite with shower, or shower and bath tub, TV, balconies or patios, facing the ocean. Tea or coffee facilities in public lounge.

Facilities


Full breakfast served in breakfast room or (weather permitting) on the sundeck. For our guests there is a private lounge with tea & coffee facilities, as well as a little study with fitness equipment and free internet access at disposal. Secure off-street parking available.

Attractions & Activities


Wilderness is situated central to almost everything in the Garden Route. We are ten minutes' drive from George and about twenty minutes away from the George airport.

Whale & dolphin sightings, hiking in the Wilderness National Park, canoeing on the Touw River, bird watching, paragliding, golfing at spectacular golf courses, all kind of water sports. Enjoy the Friday night market at Milkwood Village, or Saturday farmers market in Sedgefield.

The area has 12 major, nationally and internationally acclaimed golf courses: Fancourt, Simola, Pezula and Pinnacle Point to name but a few, all within half an hours drive of Shining Waters Guest House. There are a number of lakes in the area where you might want to part–take in various forms of watersports.

DIRECTIONS:

from George
Travelling from George to Knysna, past Wilderness Village approximately 3km along the N2. Take a right turn at the Wilderness Beach Hotel and Caltex filling station. Behind Caltex take a left turn and then 2 right turns. Take the dead end road up to the dunes.
