Situated between the beautiful town of George and quaint village of the Wilderness you will find The Penny Royal, a beautiful “home from home” overlooking the ocean. If you are just en route to another destination or bringing your family on a holiday you will find this tranquil setting most appealing. The home is beautifully furnished with everything you would need to make your stay a very memorable time. We are kiddie friendly and just love to see family’s having a happy holiday. ACCOMMODATION:The wooden deck over looking the sea is a place to relax and enjoy the unspoilt views. Enjoy the sunshine out on the deck with a magazine in hand or sit around the big wooden table on the deck and enjoy a meal while gazing out to sea. For those beautiful evenings a lovely braai area is nestled amongst the green foliage of the garden route with privacy and intimate quietness. The lodge is equipped with everything you would need to make your stay as homely as possible. The bedrooms are luxurious and sleep a maximum of 8 guests. An open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge will offer you space and freedom of movement. There is also a stunning fireplace in the lounge for those cooler evenings when snuggled up with a book or watching television. ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES:The town of George is 5 km away from the Penny Royal and is affectionately known as the heart of the Garden Route. The majestic Outeniqua Mountains stand proudly guard over this beautiful town - the meaning of Outeniqua being “a man laden with honey” - only explains to you just how much enjoyment you will find in this area which is plentiful is everything you would need for an unforgettable stay. Within close proximity you will find the beaches of Victoria bay, Herolds bay and Wilderness where you can be within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Hiking trails, mountain bike roads, golf courses plentiful in our area and the Garden Route Mall is 5 minutes down the road for those who enjoy the shops. Knysna is only a thirty minute scenic drive and and you will find this quaint town most appealing. Mossel Bay is a forty minute drive from The Penny Royal. You can even take the Outeniqua Choo Choo to this destination if you would like to do something different. You will find Oudtshoorn only 70 km away where you can experience the very famous Cango Caves. We are situated 15 minutes from the George airport and airport pick ups can be organised should it be needed. |

DIRECTIONS: Directions from Cape Town: Arriving from Cape Town - remain on the N2 and once passing the Garden Route mall on your left you will notice the highway take a sharp right curve – continue for approximately another 2 kilometers and you will pass the Engen and Sasol garages on either side of you - once you have passed theses take the very next turning to your right - the sign board reads “Mount view and Victoria Heights farm store” - follow the paved / tarred farm road until you reach a security gate - the entrance to The Penny Royal. Directions from Port Elizabeth: Arriving from Port Elizabeth - travel through the Wildreness and once reaching the top of the Kaaimans pass you will see the Victoria Bay turn off to your left - pass this and 50 meters on take the next left turn off - the sign board reads “Mount view and Victoria heights farm stall”. Follow the paved/tarred farm road until you reach a security gate - the entrance to The Penny Royal. Directions from up country: Should you be arriving from up country - proceed through the town of George following the N2 / Knysna signs. Once you have passed the Garden Route Mall on your right - continue for approximately 2 km kilometers and you will pass the Engen and Sasol garages on either side of you - once you have passed theses take the very next turning to your right - the sign board reads “Mount view and Victoria Heights farm store” - follow the paved / tarred farm road until you reach a security gate - the entrance to The Penny Royal.
