The newly developed Ocean Inn enjoys magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and borders on a natural conservancy area where small wildlife such as gecko, tortoise and tiny bucks like to visit. Mossel Bay is famous because it is the only North facing beach in South Africa. It is situated close to the town of George, and is only about 15 minutes drive away from the George Airport. Dana Bay is a favourite destination among anglers and the long white beaches are virtually unspoiled. The larger Dana Bay area slopes above the beach line providing residents with an amazing view. Vegetation consists mainly of coastal and lime fynbos, all to be observed from the open balcony / deck of the Guest House. ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIESDana Bay offers easy access to restaurants, museums, harbour and yachting facilities, water sports and eco adventure opportunities. Enjoy our long pristine beaches - for a stroll, a dip or a gaze! Go deep sea fishing or go for horse rides that can be done on Diaz Beach in Mossel Bay. Shark cage diving and scuba diving are also available in the area, as is the Mosselbay Diaz Museum. Dana Bay is only 10 minutes away from the popular Hartenbos ATKV Holiday Resort that offers many forms of entertainment during the festive season such as waterfront activities, live performances and the Flea Market are also a great attraction during the holiday season. Travelling on the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoo steam train from Mossel Bay to George will be an unforgettable experience. This means of transport takes you on a trip down memory lane. Our malaria free game farms offer a great variety of entertainment for all. Helicopter trips over the greater Mossel Bay area are just as popular for sight seeing! DIRECTIONS: From George (Airport) Follow the signs to the N2, on the N2 take direction Mossel Bay / Swellendam / Cape Town. Take the exit Dana Bay. Turn left and follow the road till the first traffic light, where you turn right into FLORA WEG which leads to Dana Bay. Follow this road (Flora Weg) until you pass a Caltex Garage on your left. After the Caltex Garage turn left into MALVA road and take the third option on your right (A. CASTANEA Road). Turn right into NERINA Road, drive over the 4 way-crossing and turn the next opportunity left into MELLIFERA Street, Ocean Inn is number 10. From Cape Town Follow the N2 until the N2 splits into GEORGE and MOSSELBAY, you take the MOSSEL BAY exit and turn right at the first traffic light (Dana Bay). Follow this road (FLORA WEG) until you pass a Caltex Garage on your left. After the Caltex Garage turn left into MALVA Road and take the third otion on your right (A. CASTANEA Road). Turn right into NERINA Road, drive over the 4 way-crossing and turn the next opportunity left into MELLIFERA STREET, Ocean Inn is number 10.
