AccommodationHomtini Guest Farm offers a wide variety of accommodation from our romantic Luxury Safari Couples Tented Lodges for our honeymooners and couples, to our Family Tented Lodges and Forest Cottages. Luxury Safari Couples Tented Lodges Our Luxury Safari Couples Tented Lodges are romantic hideaways, backed by the forest and overlooking beautiful valleys of Fynbos, offer a high degree of privacy. Each Couples Tented Lodge has an open plan living area with a Queen-size bed (including electric blankets), small fridge, table and chairs, full compliment of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils as well as pots and pans. The bathroom is en suite and has a shower, basin and toilet. On the deck you will find a set of camping chairs and a gas Weber braai. Family Tented Lodges Each Family Tented Lodge can sleep four. Inside each Tented Lodge there is a double bed and a double bunk. We supply all linen as well as electric blankets for the double bed, hot water bottles and extra blankets for the double bunks. Each Tented Lodge has an open plan living space with table and chairs, fridge, kettle and a cabinet with a full compliment of crockery, cutlery and culinary implements. Each Tented Lodge has an en suite bathroom with a shower, 2 basins and a toilet. Each Tented Lodge has its own private braai place. The two family Tented Lodges are about 20m apart. Separating them is a Tented Kitchen. In here you will find 2 gas cookers, each with 2 stove plates, pots, pans and a washing up area. The Tented Lodges are great family fun! Forest Cottages We have three Forest Cottages that can sleep from 4 to 6 people. Each Forest Cottage has two bedrooms. We have equipped the kitchens with a full compliment of cutlery, crockery, glassware, some pots and pans and culinary utensils. There are four plate ovens, microwaves, toasters and a large fridge in each Cottage. Inside you will find a fireplace, TV (with the SABC channels and eTV) and a DVD machine. We have a small DVD library at Reception guests are most welcome to. Outside, on the deck, you will find table and chairs for “al fresco” dining, a braai with grid, tongs and a supply of braai wood as well as breath taking views. The deck is well shaded so you can braai rain or shine! Activities and AttractionsWe have walking trails through 60 hectares of private indigenous forest, a pool, sauna and therapeutic massage available on the farm. There is also great bird life on the farm for birdwatchers to enjoy. ChildrenChildren can enjoy the experience of a working farm - collecting their own eggs from the hen house. Children can also enjoy riding their bikes on the safe farm roads. We also offer babysitting services in the comfort of your own Cottage or Tented Lodge. PetsPets are most welcome in our Hazel Forest Cottage. We provide throws for the furniture so our Pet Guests can fell right at home too. There are many Pet Friendly Restaurants and Walks and Beaches in the area - we provide all this information upon your arrival. Attractions NearbyWe are only 20 minutes away from the town of Knysna or Buffalo Bay Beach. We are close to several nature reserves with forest streams, waterfalls, biking and hiking trails and forest horse rides. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town or George On the N2 - about 15km passed Sedgefield (in the direction of Knysna), and about 2km passed the Buffalo Bay turn-off, at the top of the hill, you will see signs on your left, indicating Portland Manor and Millwood Gold Fields, and just passed that a sign showing Rheenendal, left. Take that left turn off. Travel for about 14km, all tar road. At about 14km the road changes from tar to gravel, and at that point you shall see the entrance to Homtini Guest Farm on your left. From the PE side of Knysna Coming from Port Elizabeth on the N2, drive through Knysna where you can stock up with some food. Take the N2 direction George. After 6 km you leave the lagoon behind and climb up into a forested area on the N2. Very soon there is a right turn off to Rheenendal, take this turn to the right. Stay on the Rheenendal road for 14 km and follow the road signs to ‘Rheenendal’ until you come to a sign that says HOMTINI PASS.
