Our aim is to provide our guests a base from where they can venture out to enjoy the many and varied activities available on the Garden Route and return to relax and unwind in serenity and comfort. The guesthouse has sunny, spacious living areas and the beach is a 3 minute stroll away. Breakfast (included in rates) is served on the sunny North terrace or beside the swimming pool. Garage parking, DSTV, pool table and internet facilities (for those with laptops) are some of the features at Halcyon, and credit-cards are accepted. We also have a kayak for picnic forays up the beautiful Keurbooms River, and beach equipment (umbrella, towels and boogey-boards). AccommodationFully fitted en-suite bedrooms offer comfortable accommodation at varying prices. TV, DVD, fan, heating, and safe are standard in all but the budget Coral Room. The Kingfisher Suite (see photo gallery thumbnails no. 7, 8, 9) The Kingfisher Suite provides spacious, private accommodation. With fold-away doors, it has dramatic bay and mountain views from bedroom and private balcony. A separate dressing room in beech and cherry wood enhances the sense of space. A honeymoon bathroom with large spa bath and double shower finishes this special accommodation. Features include: kingsize bed, tv, dvd, under carpet and undertile heating in bedroom and bathroom, fan and safe. Nautilus Rooms (see photo gallery thumnails no. 4, 5) Nautilus Room is a two-bedroom unit which can be either used by couples or at discounted rates by parties of 3 or 4. It has king-size / twin beds, lovely views of the bay and mountains. The unit has a bathroom and shower room (each with its own toilet). The main bedroom has a private balcony. Please note: the bathrooms are en-suite for a couple, but are shared when three or four use the unit. Features in Nautilus Rooms include tv, dvd, safes, fans, and heating. The Coral Room (see photo gallery thumnail no. 6) The Coral Room with its high ceiling is a simple fresh double room with en-suite shower. French doors, giving afternoon sunlight, lead into a serene garden courtyard. Note: the Coral Room does not have sea-views. LocationHalcyon is situated five minutes drive from many restaurants, two golf courses and is a convenient base from which to explore the Garden Route (from Knysna through to Tsitsikamma) with its surf, hikes, paddling, bike rides, whale and dolphin watching excursions, scenic flights and boat cruises, birdwatching and bungee-jumping. DIRECTIONS: Plett is 235km west of Port Elizabeth and 110km east of George on the N2. Come off N2 at Marine Drive Circle (you will see a Shell Ultra City petrol Station). Take Marine Drive into town. At first and 2nd traffic circle (with dolphin sculpture in the middle) keep straight. Down hill to 3rd traffic circle, again keep straight. 200 metres later turn right into LONGSHIPS DRIVE. Then 2nd left into ROCHE BONNE STREET. 1st right into PACHENA POINT RD. 2nd left into RATTRAY HEAD. Halcyon is number 30, top of hill on the left.
