Gouriqua Luxury Apartments are situated in the heart of Mossel Bay and offer guests all the comforts away from home in a unique setting. Step out of the building, cross the road, walk through the historical granary and you are hundred meters away from our very own Blue Flag Santos Beach. Guests are issued with a special ticket at no extra cost to allow them this privilege. The Post Tree as well as the Dias Museum complex with the caravel are on our doorstep. You can park your vehicle in a safe undercover lock up parking and walk to a shopping complex with a supermarket, tobacconist, cell shop, franchise restaurant, two other restaurants and many more.

Accommodation


Two self catering units are available. The one (6 pax) is a ground floor unit and the other one (4 pax) is on the third floor in a beautiful building completed in 2008.
 
As you step into these apartments, you know that no cost has been spared to make it the best holiday ever. The spacious living area is stylishly furnished in leather and colourful Kilims. Both apartments have a dining area. The open plan living rooms have sliding doors which open up on balconies with built in barbeques. In the three bedroom apartment you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the scenery or watch the world go by. Enjoy a sunrise over the ocean on the balcony of the smaller apartment.
 
Both the kitchens are equipped with all the amenities you could wish for. The stove (with oven), microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer are all in the latest metallic colours. Guests are supplied with coffee, tea, milk, sugar and rusks for the first two days.
 
One bedroom in the three bedroom unit has a double bed and a very big en suite bathroom with a bath facing the ocean, shower, two hand basins and separate toilet. Superior linen and towels are supplied. Another bedroom with a view has two single beds. Both these bedrooms have sliding doors which open up on a veranda and a private, secluded garden (stepping stones, pots etc.) There is another bedroom on the southern side with two single beds. These bedrooms share another bathroom with shower, one hand basin and toilet.
 
The one bedroom in the smaller unit has a double bed with en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. On the opposite side of the bed is a leather ottoman where you can sit and enjoy your coffee while enjoying the view of the ocean and mountains. There is a second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower.

Gouriqua is ideal for young and old, groups for up to ten and everybody who wants a safe, carefree, upmarket environment. With the beach on your doorstep and all the rest Mossel Bay has to offer, you do not have to look further. Even your golf games can be arranged by your host.
 

Mossel Bay


Mossel Bay as one of the oldest towns in South Africa, offers guests a variety of activities and opportunities. Apart from award winning restaurants, a yacht club, beautiful beaches (one blue flag) and the museum complex, Mossel Bay is also home of two of South Africa’s top 30 golf courses (Pinnacle Point and Mossel Bay Golf club and is within an hours drive from another eight (Oubaai, Fancourt, Pezula, Simola, Kingswood and others).

Mossel Bay is 30 minutes drive from George Airport along the picturesque Garden Route N2 highway and the town is also within easy driving (under 45 minutes) from multiple game farms that sport the big five as well as the incredibly rare black impala. Rural tours are offered by some tour operators for a better look at African culture. If a little adrenaline is required, shark cage diving, bungee jumping, fishing trips and nature hikes or bike rides are also offered.

DIRECTIONS:

From Cape Town
Travelling from Cape Town on the N2: Approximately 10km From Mossel Bay there is an Engen service Station on the right. One km. from there, where the N2 turns left for Port Elizabeth and George, continue along the R102 and at the fifth set of traffic light turn right. It says George Road, Mossel Bay. You will then have the ocean and coastline to your left. Continue for about 1.5 km. and you will find Gouriqua. If you should carry on, there will be another traffic light. Then you have gone too far. Directions travelling from Port Elizabeth and George on the N2: Take the turn off onto the R102 indicating "Mossel Bay & Oudtshoorn. Follow the directions to Mossel Bay up to the first set of traffic lights. At the traffic lights turn right onto the R102. From here travel until you reach the fourth set of traffic lights, then turn left into Mossel Bay (George Road). The ocean will be on your left side. Gouriqua is about 1.5 km along that road. If you see another traffic light then you have gone too far.
