DESCRIPTION:

Cannon Valley is a 21 hectare homestead situated next to Kanon, approximately 35 km South of Mossel Bay, on the South Cape coast. The rural setting makes for an ideal getaway for those wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle of the seasons crowds and activities, yet not so far that you feel isolated or cut off from civilisation.

Situated in the Garden Route area, Cannon Valley is ideal for those wanting to take day trips along the Garden Route to visit George, Oudtshoorn, Knysna, and even Plettenberg Bay.

ACCOMMODATION

House
On the property is a four bedroom (3 double rooms and 1 single room), double storey, family home which can accommodate 6 to 7 people in comfort, making it a real home away from home, with all the comforts you are used to. The property runs down onto 600m of private beach with a tidal pool. The beach however extends for many kilometres which is unrestricted for those morning walks, romantic sunset walks, or fishing expeditions.

Back at the house, with it's endless views, are all the facilities you need to offer a holiday to remember. There is a built-in braai which is accessible from the inside as well as the sun-deck. For a really social bushveld style braai, there is a large stone wall Lapa with fridge and wash-up facilities. The Lapa is built into the surrounding bush and is well protected from the wind.

Flatlet
Situated below the main house is a quaint flatlet. The flat contains one bedroom with a double bed, a seperate bathroom with only a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Caravans
On the estate we have two caravans - the "Wilk" and the "Jurgens". Both are fully equipped as well as each of them having their own braai areas. Each have their own private shower and toilet facities making it the ultimate bush experience.

FACILITIES

For those really hot days, there's a splash pool to cool off in. Being at the house and Lapa it also makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they're enjoying the pool. There's plenty of open space for the kids to ride bicycles if you want to bring cycles with, and there are no neighbours to complain if the kids make a bit of noise.

Regret, no animals allowed, as this is a conservation area.

SERVICES

There is an on-site manager should you need any assistance. The town of Gouritzmond (and the Gouritz River) is approx. 9 km South East of Cannon Valley, and Vlees Bay is approx. 6 km to the North. If you want to do some shopping, Mossel Bay - which is a popular tourist and holiday venue in it's own right, and now boasting a new Casino - offers everything you need including all the shops you want, restaurants, cinemas, flea markets - you name it. The difference is that you can go back to the peace and quiet of Cannon Valley at the end of the day.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

For the golfers, you don't need to leave your clubs at home, the popular Boggomsbaai Golf Club (approx. 9 km from Cannon Valley) offers an 9 hole farm style golf course. So as you can see, a holiday at Cannon Valley is a holiday to remember, and you will want to come back for more.

Fishing

Whether you're a novice or a pro, the area offers the angler a variety of species which can be caught from the beach or the rocks. Some record breaking catches have been made in the area and you may just be lucky enough to add your name to the list of legendary catches. The beach is unspoilt, and the natural surrounding and beauty of the area are part of the fishing experience.

This is a paradise for the nature lover.
