The Tzaneen Golf Course is truly one of the little undiscovered gems you can’t wait to tell your friends about. The course is located about ten km’s outside of Tzaneen in the pastel green pastures and was established back in 1960 as a nine hole course. Since that time, Tzaneen Country Club has blossomed into one of the most prolific and under rated courses in the country.
The course is a test of two nine’s – the first with its long, escalating and slender fairways allowing long driving golfers to free their driving arms and put their best swings forward. The second nine is a close-encounters affair with tricky slopes and angles – adding an edge to the game. The course’s two sides create a unique challenge and although known for its trickiness, cater to all levels of golfer.
Tzaneen is covered in indigenous grasses and is populated by a wide variety of indigenous trees and makes a truly spectacular setting that is right up there with the very best. Views from tees include mountainous panoramas, bushveld greens and the very best of Limpopo.
The views and fairways aside, Tzaneen is, at heart, a golfer’s golf club. Members are renowned for their friendliness and eagerly anticipate your visit.
