The Rustenburg Golf Course takes full advantage of its prime position in the foothills of the spectacular Magaliesberg Mountain Range. However, it is also placed within the town of Rustenburg, which is constantly growing thanks to its being home to some of the wealthiest platinum mines in the world.
In 2012, the club upgraded from cynodon to bent grass, which has changed the whole feel of the game, and has added much value to any golfing experience here. The layout is such that golfers of any level will enjoy the course, but there are fair challenges for those wanting to test, practice and improve. In addition, there is a sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie that sets Rustenburg Golf Course apart.
There is a clubhouse, complete with snooker tables, two bars and a number of event venues, as well as a sports bar with a relaxed atmosphere. The halfway house overlooks the practice green, and players can look forward to enjoying a light snack and a cold drink here. For those wanting to get some extra practice in, there is a chipping green, putting green and driving range at the club too. Clubs and carts are available to hire, and the pro shop is well stocked for any other gear and accessories that players need to turn a good game into a great one.
