The Potchefstroom Golf Course is located on the greenbelt formed by the Mooi River, just on the way out of town. The river winds its way gracefully through the golf course and has brought along an array of birdlife and natural beauty to the area including hundreds of Willow trees.
The course itself is one of the best-kept in the North-West, the grounds are in excellent condition year round and although generally flat in nature, the course is still regarded as one the finest tests in the area. Testimony to this is the fact that Potchefstroom Golf Course has twice hosted the South African Open with other large tournaments played annually.
The eighteen-hole parkland course plays to a length of 6374m and offers a 5259m ladies tee option too. The fairways are grassed in Kikuyu and its greens, bent.
Facilities include: a pro shop, club hire, buggy hire, driving range, caddies, as well as tennis, squash and bowls facilities.
