Located on the outskirts of Pilgrims Rest and at the foothills of five surrounding nature reserves, including the Blyde River nature reserve, the Pilgrims Rest golf course undoubtedly enjoys some of the most scenic wooded golf course real estate in the country.
Pilgrims Rest is a national monument town that lies just outside the Kruger National Park, the town is small and picturesque and is reminiscent of the ox-wagon era. In fact the materials for the golf course were all brought in by ox-wagon when it was founded in 1932.
The course itself is more tricky than challenging and short at 5720m long. Golfers will enjoy the tranquil setting and the abundant birdlife of the area. Pilgrims Rest Golf Course is a nine-hole eighteen-tee par 69 course and is ranked 4th in Mpumalanga.
Visitors are always welcome at Pilgrims Rest and the club is open seven days a week. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, halfway house, clubhouse and changing rooms.
If you are in the area, we highly recommend a game at the Pilgrims Rest course. There is a lot to see and do in the town and surrounding areaís so consider giving yourself a few days to work through it all. Find out more about the town at Pilgrims Rest Attractions.
