About Katberg Eco Golf Course
The Katberg is one of the prettiest parts of the Eastern Cape in terms of natural variety, vast open spaces and the untouched verdant loveliness of South Africa. It is inland and characterised by the green rolling mountains of the Amatola region. And it is within these near-perfect conditions that the Katberg Eco Golf Course is idyllically perched.
Katberg Eco Golf Course is a championship course that is situated within the Winterberg Mountain Range, combining world-class golf with plenty more to see and do.
Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in Amatola and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.
The sloped greens and narrow fairways make for a challenging course that retains its status as one of the best in the province. Still, even those that are just beginning to play golf or those that prefer informal games will enjoy the Katberg experience.
In addition to the golf course, there are a number of other facilities at the Eco Estate. These include a volleyball court, squash court, equestrian centre, gym and spa, swimming pool, and a playground for the little ones. The pro shop is well stocked and golf carts are available for hire. Visitors are always welcome.
