KwaZulu-Natal is famous for its verdant greenery, particularly inland from the extensive coastline. It is a balmy, humid destination that invites visitors from all over the world to be a part of its natural beauty and to explore the many cities and towns that make it such a popular holiday destination. Darnall is a small town, just a few kilometres from the coast and a little over an hourís drive from Durban and the King Shaka International Airport.
This town is home to the Darnall Country Club, which is endowed with a scenic nine-hole golf course. However, it can be played as an 18-hole course, as the second round of nine holes are played from different tee boxes, presenting players with new perspectives and challenges. This course has some tricky holes, sure to test the skills of seasoned golfers and to offer new or casual players a great course on which to launch (or even refine) their game.
This golf course is affiliated with the KwaZulu-Natal Golf Union and the North Coast Golf Association. In addition, it has a team playing in the Zululand Golf Association League.
Caddies and the caddy master are available on weekends and public holidays, and there are a few golf carts for hire. Drivers must be licensed. Members can enjoy an ice-cold refreshment at the membersí bar; the ideal place to unwind and chat about the day on the fairways. Other facilities at the Darnall Country Club include squash courts, tennis courts, and a bowling green. The swimming pool is available to all Darnall members.
