The gorgeous aesthetics of the Amphitheatre Golf Club belie the challenging nature of this special course. In its nine holes, the course manages to test and challenge players; whether they are playing as a hobby or are committed to improving their skills on the fairways. Situated within the scenic Hlalanathi Berg Resort, the golf course promises spectacular views and vistas while never negotiating on the plain old appeal of good golf.
Its name is apt, as the course overlooks the breath-taking Amphitheatre of the Drakensberg Mountain Range, which is a cliff face that is renowned the world over for its massive scale and magnificent facets. The entire area remains undeveloped and unhindered by too much human interference, assuring golfers of a wonderful setting amidst indigenous plant and animal species. The bird life is abundant and varied, and their chirps make for the perfect backing track to your game.
Visitors are welcome to play at the Amphitheatre Golf Club, and are invited to bring their families along as the club also has table tennis, swimming pool, volleyball, and tennis facilities, as well as a playground for little ones. In addition, the area around the club has a wealth of things to do and see. Go hiking, horse riding, or cycling on one of the local trails, or take your binoculars for a day spent bird watching.
There is a pro shop here, and golf carts and caddies are available for hire.
