We are situated 8km from Johannesburg International Airport (O.R. Tambo) in the tranquil suburb of Bonaero Park x1. The cottage is closely situated approximately 4km to the R21 highway which leads you to Pretoria and Boksburg, as well as the airport and the R24 highway leads off the R21 to take you to Johannesburg, Edenvale, Bedfordview and to the N3 highway network. We are a short walk away from Blaauwpan Dam should you wish to spend a lazy day fishing and braaing. A delightful bird sanctuary will satisfy your curiosity for flamingoes as well as to inspect various bird species nesting with their young (bring your binoculars). Avion Park Sports Grounds are 6km away where facilities for gym, bowls, netball, cricket, squash and golf will keep the sportsman/woman very entertained. Self Catering ACCOMMODATIONWe offer a one bedroom Log Cabin and a Flatlet for self catering accommodation. The Log Cabin / Cottage - Photo Gallery pictures 2 - 6: The log cabin consists of a lounge with DSTV, a small dining area, a kitchenette with a sink, small fridge, microwave, toaster, electric frying pan and snackwich machine. There is no stove/oven in the log cabin. The bathroom consists of a shower, basin and toilet. The bedroom has one double bed in it with electric blanket for winter, a wall mounted heater, a dressing table and a built in wardrobe. The log cabin sleeps a maximum of 2 persons. The cottage consists of a lounge with TV, a small dinette, a kitchen with a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, electric frying pan and snackwich machine. The bathroom consists of a shower, basin and toilet. The bedroom has one double bed in it, a dressing table, a built in cupboard and a wall mounted heating system for winter. The Flatlet - Photo Gallery pictures 7 - 9: The flatlet, which is attached to the main house, consists of an open plan lounge with a TV (normal SABC channels), a DVD player, a small dining dropped counter which is linked to the small kitchen. The kitchen comes with a sink, big fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a salton mini oven with a two plate stove on the top. The bathroom consists of a shower, basin and toilet (en-suite). The bedroom has one double bed, an electric blanket during winter months, a built in wardrobe and a wall mounted dressing table. There is a wall mounted heater in the bedroom. The flatlet sleeps a maximum of 2 persons. NOTE No meals are catered for There are various take away places nearby No children are allowed No smoking is permitted in either of the units Airport transfers can be arranged for which the guest is responsible for settling directly with the taxi operator Both the log cabin and the flatlet have their own alarms and these alarms are linked to a security company Regular patrols in the suburb by a security company Safe off-road parking offered. DIRECTIONS: From Boksburg, Johannesburg: Take R21 PRETORIA direction. Take ATLAS road turnoff. At the second traffic light turn left in GELDENHUYS street. Drive past the Air Crew pub, then turn left into CARO street. At the T junction, turn right into MARIGNAINE street Turn right at the second street into PORTO AMELIA street Guesthouse on your left hand side. From R21 Pretoria: Take ATLAS road turnoff. Follow the above directions as above. From Glen Marais (Dann Road): From DANN road, travel in the direction of BENONI. DANN road goes over the R21 and becomes GREAT NORTH ROAD. At the second traffic light turn right at the ENGEN/KWIK FIT garage. Take the road that says MIRABEL stree t. Follow this road until it becomes PORTO AMELIA street. Guesthouse is on the right hand side. From Benoni fom Great North Road: Follow the GREAT NORTH ROAD out of Benoni heading towards KEMPTON PARK. Turn left at the ENGEN/KWIKFIT garage.
