The lodge is 15 minutes east of Pretoria and a few minutes south of the tourist village of Cullinan. Roy's Lodge is the only graded establishment in the Cullinan area that offers the full spectrum of en-suite accommodation, meals and leisure activities on site. Roy's Lodge has recently been upgraded and is perfect for conferences and teambuilding, tourist groups, Bed and Breakfast weekend getaways, weddings and functions, family meals and events, promotions, etc, Saturday TV sporting events. Roy's Lodge is very close to the two CBD's of Pretoria and Johannesburg, and all to see and do in the Pretoria, Cullinan and Bronkhorstspruit areas. ACCOMMODATIONThe accommodation at Roy's Lodge consists of 9 chalets and 4 guest rooms. All units are full en-suite, with double beds and equipped with excellent linen, towels, bathroom amenities, tea and coffee making facilities, fans and heaters. The chalets consist of 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2 to 4 guests at the most.The chalets are very private, nestled in the garden. The neatly paved and lit up walkways are your link to the main building and pool area. Up to 45 guests in total can be accommodated. THE MAIN BUILDINGIt is of thatch and stone situated on the game drinking dam with verandah. This accommodates the restaurant, luxury designer lounge with fireplace and DSTV which can be used for functions for up to 64 guests. Also available is a conference room (40 delegates u-shape) and the arbourous boma (and fireplace) for functions up to 100 guests. THE POOLDECKThis newly upgraded pool area is enclosed with the fully stock licenced bar, DSTV, pool table, darts, indoor fireplace, under roof pooldeck, deckchairs and seating for 100 guests. The sparkling pool is the centre of attraction. It is the hub of the lodge and has a view of the kindergarten and volleyball court. Furthermore there is a big fireplace outside as well as Braai facilities and a serving kitchen - making this ideal for summer and winter. THE GAME PARKThe game park has a nice safe circular walk which takes about 30 minuntes. On site are zebra, blesbuck and small game. A nice variety of birds can also be viewed. The 4x4 track and low rope team building course is situated amongst all of these. The lodge is an ideal place to stay for visits to Cullinan, Menlyn Centre, en route to or from the Kruger National Park, Cullinan Golf Course, wedding venues in the area and the Willem Prinsloo agricultural museum. DIRECTIONS: FROM PRETORIA Take the Cullinan exit, direction Cullinan, continue for 500m. At the 4-way stop, turn left into the R104 Silverton. Continue for another 500m and watch for the sign on the right. Follow the road for 1.8 km, DO NOT turn off anywhere. Drive through the gate and continue until you reach Reception. FROM JOHANNESBURG Travel on the M1 to Pretoria, take the N1 exit to Pietersburg (now Polokwane), travel for about 15 km Take the N4 east bound (direction Witbank). Take the Cullinan exit, direction Cullinan, continue for 500m. At the 4-way stop, turn left into the R104 Silverton. Continue for another 500m and watch for the sign on the right. Follow the road for 1.8 km, DO NOT turn off anywhere. Drive through the gate and continue until you reach Reception. FROM THE EAST (Nelspruit, northern KwaZulu-Natal) Travel along the N4, west bound towards Pretoria. After passing Bronkhorstspruit, look out for the Cullinan exit. Take the Cullinan exit, direction Cullinan, for 500m. At the 4-way stop turn left into the R104 Silverton. Continue for another 500m and watch for the sign on the right. Follow the road for 1.8 km, DO NOT turn off anywhere Drive through the gate and continue until you reach Reception. FROM CULLINAN Travel southbound via Rayton for 5km Turn right at the 4-way stop onto the R104 Silverton. Continue for for 500m and watch for the sign on the right.
