We are well known for excellent food and service, with staff that give every Bride and Groom individual attention to make their dream wedding become a reality. The Moon and Sixpence is the place to make magical memories that will last a lifetime. AccommodationThe Bridal Couple have the Honeymoon Suite included in their wedding package. This is available before the wedding as a Bridal dressing room. The large King-size bed with a white netting canopy, is the ideal end to the perfect wedding day. A romantic turn down is provided for the Bride and Groom including a hot bath drawn and ready on arrival with scatterings of rose petals. Bridal Couples have the option of an intimate breakfast the next morning in the privacy of their own garden, or they can join their families in our Sterling Room for a hearty breakfast before going off on Honeymoon and a new life together. The newest feature at The Moon and Sixpence is Luxury Four Star Accommodation for your guests. Beautifully furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and lavish breakfasts are now available. Special rates are given to wedding guests. WeddingsFarthing Chapel & Hall The start of your new life together begins in the Farthing Chapel. Large wooden doors open to reveal the bride as she enters and makes her way down the aisle while large candlelit chandeliers above set a romantic atmosphere. The balcony overlooks the Farthing Gardens and Pool area, where guests gather for a drink after the service, amongst the lavender bushes. The simplicity and natural décor ensure that each couple bring their own personality and style into the chapel, making this the perfect place to say 'I do'. The Farthing Hall is nestled between formal parterre gardens, surrounded by lavender bushes and Mediterranean Architecture. Seating up to 120 guests in comfort with a dance floor , this is a welcoming reception venue that will see you and your guests celebrate into the evening. Lanterns and spotlights light up the gardens which set a romantic atmosphere for the night that will be remembered for the rest of your life. St Francis Chapel & Florin Hall The St Francis Chapel is set amongst lush gardens with tall oak trees, colourful impatiens, arum lilies an foxgloves. Beautifully crafted stained glass windows greet you as you enter, and a high thatched roof gives a feeling of openness. Views of the horse paddock and countryside are visible through windows that line the side of the Chapel. The surrounding gardens bring out the best of all seasons and offer many magical spots for memorable photographs. The Florin Hall seats up to 160 guests with a dance floor. This reception venue compliments the St Francis Chapel beautifully with thatched ceilings, exposed wooden beams and an open fireplace. The Hall opens out onto a patio with exquisite views of the surrounding gardens and water features. Spotlights wash the walls to create an intimate environment that is filled with country charm. Wedding FeastThe Moon and Sixpence offers menus to suit every taste and budget. Whether you prefer the elegant sophistication of a Formal Plated Meal, or the casual experience of a Buffet, with a wide variety of choice, we custom make menus to suit your wedding day. Both venues cater for plated or buffet options. We also cater separately for special diets such as a vegetarian, Halaal and Kosher guests. Childrens' menus are also available on request. Food Tasting evenings are held every month which give each couple an opportunity to have a "sneak preview" of the type of food they can expect at their wedding. We also cater for Sunday lunches or Picnics on chosen weekends. |

DIRECTIONS: From Sandton Take WILLIAM NICOL DRIVE towards Fourways. Take N1 SOUTH to Roodepoort. Take turn-off to BEYERS NAUDé DRIVE. Turn right onto Beyers Naudé towards Honeydew. Pass through Honeydew, pass Garden World Nursery. Near Muldersdrift continue straight over the bridge towards Zwartkops (you are now crossing over the N14 / R28 Krugersdorp Pretoria Highway). Keep going for another 5 kilometres and you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your right hand side. From Northcliff / Cresta Centre Take BEYERS NAUDé DRIVE (previously DF Malan) towards Honeydew / Muldersdrift. Pass through Honeydew, pass Garden World and near Muldersdrift continue straight over the bridge towards Zwartkops (you are now crossing over the N14 / R28 Krugersdorp Pretoria Highway). Keep going for another 5 kilometres and you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your right hand side. From Randburg Take Hans Strydom towards Lanseria. Pass Kya Sands, continue over the fourway stop towards Lanseria. After going over the bridge crossing over the Krugersdorp Pretoria Highway (N14 / R28), you pass the Hertford Hotel and turn left at the Elandsdrift turnoff. Carry on for several kilometres until you reach a T-junction, where you turn left. Approximately 2.5 kilometres later you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your left. rom Pretoria Take the N14 (previously R28) to Krugersdorp. Pass the Lanseria/Randburg turnoff and take the Zwartkops/Randburg offramp. At the T-stop, turn right towards Zwartkops. Approximately 5kms later you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your right hand side. Or Take N1 South to Roodepoort. Take Beyers Naudé Turn-off, and turn right onto Beyers Naudé towards Honeydew. Pass through Honeydew, pass Garden World Nursery. Near Muldersdrift continue straight over the bridge towards Zwartkops (you are now crossing over the N14 / R28 Krugersdorp Pretoria Highway). Keep going for another 5 kilometres and you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your right hand side. From Krugersdorp Take the R28 / N14 towards Pretoria. Pass the Muldersdrift off ramp. Turn off at the Zwartkops offramp (it will make a u-turn to the left). At the T-stop, turn right towards Zwartkops. Approximately 5 kms later you will find The Moon & Sixpence on your right hand side. From Oliver Tambo International Leave Oliver Tambo International Airport on the R21 heading towards Johannesburg. The R21 joins the R24. Once you are on the R24 the road widens into 5 lanes. Keep in the middle lane. The R24 then splits, on the left is the N3 to Germiston, keep to the middle lane on the on the R24 to Johannesburg (middle) and the N3 to Pretoria branches off on a loop to the left (Gilooly's interchange) Once you are on the N3 you will pass the following off ramps: Linksfield Road, Modderfontein Road, London Road and Malboro Road The N3 then divides again and becomes the N1. To the left is the M1 to Johannesburg, in the middle is the N1 to Pretoria and to the right is the N1 to Roodepoort. Keep on the N1 to Roodepoort. On the N1, pass the Rivonia Road off ramp, William Nicol offramp and Hans Strydom off ramp. Take turn-off to BEYERS NAUDé DRIVE. Turn right onto Beyers Naudé towards Honeydew. Pass through Honeydew, pass Garden World Nursery. Near Muldersdrift continue straight over the bridge towards Zwartkops (you are now crossing over the N14 / R28 Krugersdorp Pretoria Highway).
