Hoopoe Haven is positioned on 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the countryside with horse trails around and a beautiful view of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Hoopoe Haven is a place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet of the countryside. One can watch the magnificent birdlife, (over 50 different bird species have been spotted here, including guinea fowl, plovers, hoopoes, barbets and shrikes to name a few) while you have a sundowner or a braai on the patio or a cooling swim in our crystal clear pool, with a beautiful sunset in the background. If you decide to stay up late on a clear evening you may even be lucky enough to hear the roar of the lions from the lion park. AccommodationThe guest house is a beautiful brand new thatch house with luxurious finishings including sandstone tiles, cherrywood cupboards, granite counter tops and quality furniture, designed for comfortable living. Facilities include two bar areas, upstairs braai and patio area, fenced swimming pool, luxury lounge, ADT security and electric fencing and DSTV in all rooms. A well equipped self-catering two bedroom cottage is also available. We have just added a new one-bed-roomed family garden cottage. A Full English breakfast is served in a delightful dining area or on the upstairs smoking balcony. We want you to view this house as your home away from home. With all these luxuries one would expect to pay the earth, but the rates at Hoopoe Haven are extremely affordable. Lodge Facilities A comfortable lounge with DSTV. Upstairs bar and braai (gas) entertainment area with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and the magnificent sunsets. Spacious family room upstairs to socialize with family, guests or for some peace and quiet. A large fully-equipped kitchen is available for your use. At this point unfortunately breakfast is not included. a full English breakfast is provided for the lodge rooms A crystal clear fenced swimming pool. All rooms are fully serviced. Laundry can be provided at extra cost. The RoomsFISH EAGLE The largest room. It is en-suite and contains a spa bath. A third bed can be put in on request. MARTIAL EAGLE A sligtly smaller en-suite bedroom. KINGFISHER AND HOOPOE ROOMS Two double rooms sharing one lovely bathroom. MASKED WEAVER ROOM A small single bedroom upstairs sharing the downstairs bathroom. GUINEA FOWL SELF-CATERING COTTAGE A lovely self-catering thatch cottage, which sleeps five guests. Our guests are charged irrespective as to the number of guests. The downstairs area of the cottage consists of a comfortable lounge (5th bed is here) with TV and DSTV feed from the lodge and a DVD player if you want to watch your own, a spacious dining room, a bathroom which conforms to our normal luxurious standards and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is a loft with two single beds Dove Family Garden Cottage This is a lovely cottage on our premises, right next door to the lodge. It is absolutely ideal for the family unit. It consists of: A large double bedroom with a queen bed An en-suite bathroom with a shower A large fully equipped kitchen with everything you may need to cook with. The open plan area consists of 2 huge gum pole bunk beds for the children A dining area A lounge with full tv coverage of mnet, tv1,2,3, etv and piped Dstv satellite and dvd player It is fully secure with trellidoor gates and panic alarm as well as electrified fence and electronic gates around the premises. The cottage has its own 500 sq metre garden with garden furniture for you to relax on while you braai your food and your kids play hide and seek in the garden. |

DIRECTIONS: From Johannesburg From the N3 Highway towards Roodeport, take the William Nicole off-ramp. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp, over the highway, towards Fourways Mall. Take the slip road opposite Monte Casino, left into Witkoppen Road. Once in Witkoppen, turn right at the next traffic lights into Cedar Avenue (this is the road to Lanseria Airport). After approximately 5 kms turn left at the traffic lights after Broadacres shopping centre into 3rd Avenue. At the 4 way stop (mind drainage dips) turn left into Runnymead Road. 300m turn right into 2nd Road. About 1 km down the road forks to the right, keep right. We are the first driveway on the left hand side, plot 206B. Press the intercom for reception on plot 206 and we will come down to see you. From Pretoria From the Krugersdorp Highway, take the Lanseria off-ramp. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp. Take the first road right, this is the R552 towards Fourways. At the T-junction turn left and then immediately right onto Cedar Avenue towards Sandton. After approximately 5 km's, go past Dainfern on the left hand side, and then turn right at the first traffic lights into 3rd Avenue. At the 4 way stop (mind drainage dips) turn left into Runnymead Road. 300m turn right into 2nd Road. About 1 km down the road forks to the right, keep right.
