Cherry Tree Cottage is a safe and secure, centrally situated, Bed & Breakfast with self-catering facilities. We have four, twin bed apartments, which accommodate up to eight guests. We are ideally placed for you to do business in the city by day and enjoy country style comfort by night! Situated in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg in Linden, in the foothills of Northcliff, there is fast and easy access off the M1 motorway. Linden boasts a covered/heated swimming pool, a Mashe golf course and ten pin bowling nearby, with Emmerentia Dam and Delta Park in the vicinity. We also keep a selection of ready prepared meals, frozen, which our guests find most acceptable for evening meals. Location & AttractionsWe offer a "Meet and Greet" Service and Executive Transfers to and from the airport, and could assist with transport while staying with us to places of interest in and around Johannesburg and to Sun City. We are approximately 30-45 minutes from the airport and very close to Melville, Cresta, Randburg, Sandton, Hyde Park and Rosebank, Parktown, Parkhurst, Greenside and Parkview. DIRECTIONS: Via N1 Concrete highway: On the N1 South, after the Rivonia Rd offramp, the next offramp is William Nicol Ave and the next one is Hans Strijdom. Take the Hans Strydom / R512 offramp & turn left onto Hans Strijdom Drive. Or if coming from the other direction (on the N1 North), 14th avenue, then Beyers Naude drive, then Hans Strijdom Drive. Take the same Hans Strydom / R512 offramp but turn right over the highway onto Hans Strijdom Drive. The landmarks are VW dealership (on the left), Lexmark (on the right), Mintek (pink building on the right), Department of Home Affairs (on the right), Macdonald's (on the left), Damelin College Campus (on the right corner of Hans Strijdom and Republic road), Randburg High School (on the left), Medicross Clinic (on the right). Continue, and the road becomes a dual carriage way at Judges Ave. Continue & you will see a garage on the left just as you enter a bend to the right and get to the Darrenwood roundabout. Turn left into 3rd avenue, and continue up the hill. Turn right into 9th street. There is a Cherry Tree sign on the left at ninth street. 500m down 9th street, Cherry Tree will be on your right. Look for the yacht in the front Garden. Ring the bell. You have arrived! From Johannesburg International Airport via Wits University: Take the off ramp marked R55-Auckland Park -off the M1 North at Empire Rd/Yale Road/Wits University. Turn left onto Empire road travelling towards the Milpark Hospital and watch for the onramp marked M71-Emmarentia. Bear left at the onramp marked M71-Emmarentia onto the fly-over which will connect onto Barry Hertzog Rd. You will pass the Chamber of Mines building- now the Milpark Business School on the left. You will pass through the S-bends with Melvillle on you left and Parkview Golf Course on your right. Then on past Emmarentia- shopping centre on your left and Greenside on the right. Continue till you see the Sunny Shell Garage and take the LH fork into Linden Rd. Continue down the hill, through the lights in the dip and up the steep hill- 3rd Avenue. Keep the Town houses on your left and the Catholic Church on your right. Pass through two circular roundabouts in this road and then turn left into 9th Street. Look for Cherry Tree Cottage on the RHS - 57 Ninth Street Linden. We have a big yacht in our front garden- Noah's Ark! Ron is a Naval Architect!
