Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in the heart of the magical Magaliesberg, Budmarsh Private Lodge welcomes you to its world of understated elegance, tranquility, and personalised attention.

Surrounded by majestic trees and exquisite gardens, Budmarsh is a bird lover’s paradise, and an ideal wedding venue. For all those exercise enthusiasts there are also a number of hikes to choose from in the surrounding areas.

The Magaliesburg River, being a stones throw away, offers the potential for some of the best Trout fishing in the area. For those who wish to relax, the pool and lounge/library are ideal places for sitting back and reading a good novel. In winter, the underfloor heating and fireplaces make it the perfect cozy retreat. There is also a Snooker Table for some extra entertainment.

ACCOMMODATION

Rooms: Each of Budmarsh’s 18 bedrooms is individually designed and decorated, and offer guests a fully appointed bathroom. Our rooms differ in terms of what they offer guests, from fireplaces to outside showers, to balcony’s – guests can choose which room will suit them best.

Whichever room you choose, you can be guaranteed that you will rest in comfort. All of the rooms have under floor heating, heated towel racks, satellite TV, and are furnished with antique furniture.

Bathrooms: Each bathroom is fitted with a shower, as well as a large bath. Additional features include under floor heating and heated towel racks. Some rooms also have jacuzzi baths or outside showers.

CUISINE

Our master chef is responsible for all of the sumptuous cuisine. Carefully created delicacies make each meal a delightful experience that will not be forgotten. Dinner is a five course set menu, however if you have any special meal requirements we will cater for these accordingly. A full breakfast is served in the mornings.

CONFERENCES

Budmarsh also boasts exceptional conference facilities, with sweeping views of the Magaliesberg Mountains. The conference room is equipped with the most modern technology (Data Projector, 12 Internet points and the latest in DVD Audio Visual technology), and is ideal for training sessions, strategy sessions as well as team building exercises. Our conference room can host up to forty delegates.

GAUTENG WEDDINGS & BANQUETING

Surrounded by the Magaliesberg Mountains, and exquisite gardens, Budmarsh is the ideal venue for a small, intimate wedding. At Budmarsh you are guaranteed friendly staff, and attention to every detail. We can cater for up to 40 guests.

TROUT FISHING

Budmarsh is situated less than a few kilometers from the source of the Magaliesburg River, making it an ideal trout fishing spot. We also have our own dam, which is stoked with the best Trout from the Mpumalanga province.
