DESCRIPTION:

Avenues B&B, a thatched roof establishment with a relaxing atmosphere, is situated in the upmarket suburb of Moreleta Park in Pretoria East, 40 minutes drive from Johannesburg International Airport (OR Tambo). We would like to welcome you to our home to enjoy warm hospitality.

Accommodation


All of our 8 comfortable rooms are en-suite and scrumptious breakfasts are served between 06h30 and 09h30.

1st Avenue (sleeps 2)
Small room en-suite with shower. Private entrance.

2nd Avenue (sleeps 2 - 3)
Twin or King beds en-suite with shower. Private balcony.

3rd Avenue (sleeps 2)
Single room en-suite with large bathroom (bath).

5th Avenue (sleeps 2 - 3)
Large room with full bathroom (shower and bath). Private entrance.

6th Avenue (sleeps 3 - 4)
Unit with 2 en-suite rooms (shower) each with own entrance. One room has a small kitchenette.

7th Avenue (sleeps 3 - 4)
Unit with 2 en-suite rooms (shower) each with own entrance. One room has a small kitchenette.

8th Avenue (sleeps 2 - 3)
Unit with double bed, en-suite shower and kitchenette, private entrance.

9th Avenue (sleeps 2)
Loft room offers basic accommodation en-suite shower, twin beds.

Facilities


We offer safe lock up parking in two parking areas with remote control access. Public areas include the TV room (with DSTV), dining room, garden and lapa with braai (barbeque) facilities next to the swimming pool or have a quiet moment at the water feature next to the herb garden and another BBQ facility. A small collection of books and games are available for relaxing evenings and a number of fine restaurants are within 2km, some within walking distance.

Beauty treatments by a visiting beautician can be arranged at the Bed & Breakfast, are available on request. Telephone, fax and Internet available, and a laundry service is available at a nominal rate. Day trips, tours, safaris, airport transfers and a shuttle service can be arranged.

Conferences


This is also the perfect venue for small functions and meetings, groups of less than 20 persons.

Attractions and Activities


Pretoria is the ideal city to stay over en-route to the Kruger National Park. Sun City and Pilanesberg National Park (big 5 park) are a comfortable day trip away, while other tourist attractions such as the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square, Paul Kruger Museum, Transvaal Museum, The Union Buildings, Botanical Garden, Smuts House and the Pretoria Zoo are all within half an hour’s drive.

Pretoria also hosts several popular markets such as the Irene Craft & Deli market on the second and last Saturday of each month, The Magnolia Craft market every first Saturday and the Boeremark ever Saturday morning. The popular Unica Christmas market is an annual highlight during the last week of October each year. Another highlight in October is the purple show of the Jacaranda trees, hence the name Jacaranda City. Pretoria, Tshwane, Jacaranda city ... a must visit!

DIRECTIONS:

From N4
Take the Hans Strijdom exit and turn left (south) in Hans Strijdom Drive. Continue for approximately 7kms and turn left in Delfi Road. Cross Garsfontein Road, Delfi becomes Rubenstein Drive. Continue with Rubenstein and turn left in Wekker Street at the small traffic circle. Continue for 1,5kms, cross de Villebois Mareuil St, 881 Wekker Street is on the next corner on your right.

From N1
Take the Rigel Avenue offramp and turn in an easterly direction into Rigel Avenue / Delmas Road (M9). Continue for 2kms, cross Hans Strijdom (M10) and continue on the Delmas Road, turn left at the Moreleta Park sign, this is de Villebois-Mareuil Drive. Continue to Wekker Street and turn right. Avenues B&B at 881 Wekker Street on the first corner on your right.

From Jhb International Airport (OR Tambo)
Follow the Pretoria signs onto the freeway (R21) and drive towards Pretoria. Take the Irene / Nelmapius Dr exit. Turn right in Nelmapius Drive and drive on until you get to a T-junction, turn left in the Delmas Road and right at the Moreleta Park sign. This is de Villebois-Mareuil Drive. Drive for approx. 2.5kms and turn right in Wekker Street. Avenues B&B is on the corner of Wekker and Buffa St on your right, no 881 Wekker Street.
