DESCRIPTION:

The ABSA Conference Centre is nestled amongst the foothills of the Magaliesberg in Motana Park, Pretoria, and enjoys a subtropical climate where indigenous flora and fauna flourish. This natural setting is incorporated in the architecture of the Centre, which consists of a series of low-level blocks interlinked by covered walkways. Several of these blocks bear the name of trees and shrubs in the area. This creates a peaceful charm that can be enjoyed by all, as well as the warm hospitality and a pride in excellence of service, which are the heart of the Centre.

The centre offers the very best in comfort, convenience and presentation technology at a reasonable price and has proved to meet the most stringent demands on South African and International business people. Our discerning clients are offered a complete, all-inclusive package with an upfront price that includes all the requirements for a successful conference.

CONFERENCE VENUES

There are 11 self-contained, U-shape, fully equipped conference rooms suitable for intensive workshop activities or smaller groups. Each room is air-conditioned, acoustically effective and equipped with a VHS Video recorder and television, flexirail, flipchart, whiteboard, overhead projector and screen. A 35mm slide projector, panaboard, video camera and LCD are available on request.

AUDITORIUM

The auditorium seats up to 100 people and offers the same equipment as the conference rooms as well as a 35-mm slide projector. This venue also has an electronic control panel in the lectern, enabling the presenter to initiate projection without any disruptions.

FUNCTIONS & WEDDINGS

We offer superb cuisine and services to make your function a special occation. For your catering and decor requirements we invite you to phone Lana Botha who will assist you with your arrangements.

ACCOMMODATION

All 56 bedrooms are designed for comfort and visual appeal. Each room has a study area, stationery, electronic alarm clock radio and tea and coffee facilities. The centre has 24-hour security and strictly enforced access control. There is ample free, covered and uncovered, parking available for all delegates.

FACILITIES

The facilities are aimed at creating a productive yet comfortable atmosphere and do not detract from the business at hand. Facilities include three lounges and a terrace, which overlooks the natural feature swimming pool, where braais and refreshments can be enjoyed.

RESTAURANT

Our restaurant is fully licensed and accommodates up to 150 diners with a dance floor. Menus are varied and each meal is a culinary experience to be remembered. Seating is flexible and special arrangements can be made for functions, a braai or a banquet.

LEISURE

A variety of team-building activities are available. Leisure activities include volleyball, table tennis, darts, fingerboard, jogging and walks. Conversation nooks in the residential blocks can be used for watching television (M-Net available).

SECURITY

The Centre has 24-hour security and strictly enforced access control. There is ample free, covered parking available for all delegates
