The location of Bokpost Guest Farm is in the heart of South Africa, in a malaria free and safe area. Situated nearly halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town, just 21 km’s from the N1 road and 20 Km from the town of Philippolis.
The farm lies in the picturesque ridges of the Orange river, approximately 180 km’s south of Bloemfontein .The farm is easy accessible. The roads leading to the farm are tarred (N1 or the 717) with the last approximately 20 Km’s being a dirt road in typical South African condition. There is also a tarred airstrip just 28 Km’s from the farm.
ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES
The accommodation at Bokpost Guest Farm is of the highest standard with warm Free State hospitality and service. We cater for 10 guests in spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, overlooking the game camp, swimming pool and tranquil bird sanctuary. There is a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and Heated pool.
There is a library with more than a thousand books, a bar, various living areas and places in the garden to reminisce and also a playground for the children.
CUISINE
The cuisine is the best in culinary that the region can provide specializing in typical sumptuous Karoo foods, but with enough diversity for the person with capricious taste buds.

BOKPOST FARM
Sheep farming is the main industry on the farm, consisting mainly of Merino sheep. Other industries include game, vegetables and more recently olive groves have been established. The sheep on the farm are free range and organically farmed. Once a year a production-auction is held.
The farm has been cultivated for more than a hundred years and five generations by the same family, surviving the Anglo-Boer War - which further contributes th the rich history of the farm. The area boasts a variety of rich historical sites and other places of interests. |
