An elephant experience for life. The elephant sanctuary provides a safe-haven for elephants and offers a platform for guest education and interaction. Rescued African elephants have gained trust through unique reward based training. Forming bonds between humans and elephants, the elephants are exercised and stimulated daily which provides a firm foundation for trust. The focus is on education through interaction, so you will not only learn a lot about elephants, but also get to touch, feel, walk trunk-in-hand. Duration approximately 2½ hours and lunch is on the main deck overlooking the elephants.

Guests are guided in small groups on foot through The Elephant Sanctuary. The Elephant Sanctuary Guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants. You will be introduced to the elephants in the forest area, and here you will be able to touch and interact with the elephants. You will see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of it forming your relationship and bond with the elephants.

Short walk with the elephant’s trunk-in-hand.
See where the elephants sleep at night in their stables.
Guests learn about their anatomy and feed them.
On some hot days you may even see the elephants swimming.
