5 Day Themba Kruger Safari and Panorama Route is a 5 day / 4 night package tour by Themba Day Tours & Safaris

Day 1: Johannesburg (or Pretoria) to Mpumalanga
Start your tour from Johannesburg or Pretoria in the comfort of an air-conditioned microbus and travel east towards the Drakensberg Mountains via Dullstroom, Lydenburg and Pilgrims Rest. Stop for a lunch break before driving along the Panorama Route seeing the magnificent Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondavels, God's Window, the Lisbon or Berlin waterfall. There are African markets at various places along the Panorama Route and there will be time for passengers wishing to buy curios. Overnight will be at the Numbi, Hazyview or Hippo Hollow Country Hotel with nice gardens, a swimming pool and very good restaurant.

Day 2: Kruger National Park
Early morning start, breakfast and than driving to the Kruger Park in the comfort of an air-conditioned microbus with your guide. Enter the Park for an exciting day game viewing looking for elephant, giraffe, zebra, hippo and many other species. Lunch will be at one of the rest camps within the park
You will quickly learn how to spot the animals in the bush and your guide will make sure that you have easy access for photos or videos.
Arrive at one of the Kruger National Park rest camps for overnight and dinner.

Day 3: Kruger National Park to Hongonyi Private Safari Lodge
Wake up with the sounds of the bush before it is time to go on an early morning game drive, trying to find some more of the elusive animals in this fascinating Park.
After a sumptuous breakfast to recharge the batteries make your way to Hongonyi Private Safari Lodge situated outside the Kruger Park but within its ecosystem.
Sightings of Lion & Elephant in Big 5 territory and tracking the Cheetah is part of the HONGONYI experience with excellent photo opportunities of Africa’s most amazing animals.
Enjoy Open Vehicle Game Drive in the afternoon tracking rhino, cheetah and Buffalo, followed by a traditional dinner under the African sky and overnight at this delightful luxury bush lodge.

Day 4: Hongonyi Private Safari Lodge
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge we leave in the comfort of our air-conditioned microbus to visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center, which has become a haven for the rehabilitation & care of abandoned, injured & poisoned wildlife. In the afternoon it is back to Hongonyi to relax before embarking for your afternoon/ evening open vehicle game drive in the Big 5 Thornybush private game reserve.

Day 5: Hongonyi Private Safari Lodge to Johannesburg
Awaken to the day with a bush walk and experience the thrill of encountering Africa’s wildlife on foot to the sounds and smells of the bushveld. After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge its time to make our way home back through the mighty Drakensberg Escarpment. Arrive in Johannesburg at about 17.00 after an unforgettable wildlife experience.
