A professional private guide whose field experience is invaluable, together with his understanding of animal behaviour, ensures that you will be in a good position every time for that perfect shot! Our aim is not only to find the impressive ‘Big 5’, but also to point out and explain the smaller things that the untrained eye would never notice – all makes for a varied and exciting photographic safari.
Full day; overnight and extended Kruger Photo Safaris options – tell us your ideal safari (we have expert birder guides too!) and we will tailor-make an itinerary.
We provide quality SLR bean bags for extra stability for that special shot – it could be a pride of lions, perhaps a leopard lounging in the fork of a tree or a family herd of elephants bathing in the river, the opportunities are endless.
The Kruger National Park is legendary, known throughout the world for its diversity of species and dramatic landscapes, and the park has been depicted in many photographic coffee table books and image collections. With easy access to the park and a vast selection of accommodations and regions to choose from the Kruger Park is a photographers dream.
The diversity of habitats in the park, from open savannas to lush riverine forests, allows photographers the benefit of selecting preferred landscapes for their photographs. The animals in the park have adapted to the presence of vehicles which gives photographers many opportunities to get that special shot.
There are a number of dramatic places in the park to stop and take photographs, including some where alighting from the vehicle is allowed. This adds to the attraction of Kruger as a great photographic destination.
The Kruger park is the ideal place for amateur photographers and professionals alike and any size and make of equipment will bring results. In fact it is not unusual to see people taking mobile phone pictures, so close are the animals at times.
For the person wanting the best all round lens for the park a 300mm lens is recommended to get those just out of reach images, however the Kruger is truly the ultimate park for everyone when it comes to taking wildlife pictures.
On-board our open Land Rover Safari vehicle we provide quality binoculars for sightings just a little too far; warm blankets for chilly early mornings; waterproof ponchos in case of a shower and mineral water & fresh orange juice.
The Kruger National Park is situated in the north eastern region of South Africa and the largest part of the park lies in the Mpumalanga (place of the rising sun) province.
