Guests staying in the Pilanesberg area are invited to join Pilanesberg Elephant Back Safaris on a unique and extraordinary African adventure. Join Chikwenya, Sharu, Sapi, Mana and Michael for a game viewing experience with a difference, on Elephant back, as though part of this special herd.
Depart from the Sun City Welcome Centre and transfer to 'The Elephant Wallow'. The 20 minute drive through the Letsatsing Game Park offer guests an opportunity to view general game and birdlife. After an introductory talk and interaction, the elephants are saddled and the safari commences.
Following ancient game trails, guests have an opportunity to see rhino, giraffe, zebra and various other plains game from a unique vantage viewpoint on elephant back. After approximately an hour on Elephant back, guests return to 'Elephant Wallow' for light snacks. Guests will be returned to the Welcome Centre, Sun City.
