About Good Friday (29 March 2024)

Good Friday (Friday before Easter Sunday).

Good Friday, also called Holy Friday or Great Friday, is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday ("Pascha"). It commemorates the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Golgotha. In many countries with a strong Christian tradition Good Friday is observed as a public or federal holiday.

Getaways over public holidays and during nationwide events are in high demand, so accommodation often books up quickly for these periods, and often long in advance. Please be sure to secure your accommodation well in advance if you are travelling when one of these takes place.
