About the Magoebaskloof Spring Festival

At the annual Magoebaskloof Spring Festival, the whole region of Haenertsburg blossoms into life with a tangible buzz of all things spring. Taking place in September in the little town of Haenertsburg, which is known for its lush hills. The Limpopo Province is a gorgeous part of South Africa, and its natural appeal is celebrated at this event.

The Magoebaskloof Spring Festival boasts a varied selection of stalls and exhibitors. Arts and crafts include items made out of ceramics, glass, wood, and wrought iron, as well as mosaics and jewellery. Clothing and goodies for the home are always a hit too. There are even handmade soaps and organic lotions from which to choose.

An entire food hall will be included in this event, and peckish passers-by can sample decadent cheeses, homemade preserves, handmade sweets and indulgent biscuits.

The orchid display is always rather special, and those who love these hardy gems can purchase them directly from the exhibitors or just walk around the displays and appreciate the myriad colours and sizes.

The Cheerio Gardens are always a hit, famous for their Japanese flowering cherry blossoms, azaleas and crab apples. Take a leisurely stroll through the greenery before enjoying a hot cup of coffee, a cool refreshment, or a delicious light lunch with gorgeous views of the dam.

Haenertsburg has many pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, as well as book shops and antique stores. Local activities include mountain biking, horse riding or picnicking in the forests. Bird watchers and fly fishermen will love this destination and are reminded to bring their gear when visiting the region for the Magoebaskloof Spring Festival.
