During this weekend the people of Wellington invite guests from all the country to come and experience Wellington. Food, wine, sporting activities and loads of entertainment. Come and join in the fun and experience Wellington.

Visitors are required to purchase an access pass at their first port of call or Wellington Tourism Office, serving as registration to the weekend. This includes a wine tasting glass together with your programme. The pass will allow you free wine tasting at participating cellars through out the week-end. Thereafter it works on a pay-as-you-go system with many of the activities for free. Tickets are R40 per person.

Normally by appointment only, this weekend only Mischa will be open to the public and providing the perfect atmosphere to kick back and enjoy the wines. Festival hours will be March 21 (10:00 to 19:00) and March 22 (10:00 to 17:00).

Mischa Estate is a boutique, family-run winery located 45 minutes from Cape Town in the small picturesque town of Wellington. After three generations of a successful vine nursery operation, Mischa took their extensive knowledge of wine and put it in the bottle. Both of their ranges of hand-made wine, namely Mischa & Eventide, have won awards all over the world making them the latest ‘hot’ property in the Cape.

Not only will guests be invited to taste their range of award-winning wines, but they’ll also be offering people the chance to take home wine at special cellar door prices. Guests can create their own picnic basket with high-end deli meats, cheeses, local biltong & droewors, fresh bread and more.

While enjoying the food and wine, relax in a Moroccan tent listening to a live music, take a swim in the idyllic pool, enjoy a tractor ride through the vineyard or an estate/garden tour, venture on a game drive or just enjoy the beautiful 360 degree views of mountains, vineyards & water!

Saturday, Mischa will be breaking out their secret & refreshing “wine cocktails” for sundowners 5pm to 7pm. The stunning sunset over Table Mountain is not to be missed!

Each person will receive a free gift pack full of goodies and there will be several prizes given away every hour such as wine, spa treatments, weekend getaways, and more!
