EP Bonsai Association EXPO

The society promotes the art of Bonsai and aims to further members' knowledge of Bonsai as well as the techniques thereof. The society was founded by the well known late Gwen Skinner on the 15th September 1969 and is based in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

This year is the 42 nd anniversary of the society. We have some keen members, some of whom have been members for over 25 years and as such, have much experience to impart to new members.

Bonsai is a very rewarding hobby which can provide many years of enjoyment and by joining our society, this opens up a world of opportunities and knowledge ultimately resulting in a sense of satisfaction and camaraderie with other members. The Bonsai art teaches patience, calmness of mind and the love of nature as well as the appreciation of the environment.

The EP Bonsai Association will be hosting an Expo at the Sherwood Garden Centre - Walker Drive - Port Elizabeth. We invite you to visit and see some of the wonderful trees that the Japanese made famous through their classical designs which have now spread throughout the world... entry is free!
