Zuurberg Mountain Inn 15km

Starting in the town of Addo, this is a mountain race and that means this circular route is a tough one. The route follows a rugged, rocky hiking trail which forces runners to run in a single file. The race is run in a nature reserve so entries are limited so as not to impact the environment.

The Zuurberg Mountain Inn is situated at the top of a pass and was the overnight stop for coaches and horses on their journey to the interior many years ago! Numbers are limited to 100 runners and they need to apply to the organizers for a invitation to enter the race.

Those who finish the race are given preferential entry to the following years race with the spot being handed to the next person on the list if the entry is declined.
