The Grahamstown Flower Festival takes place annually over a weekend during October in the beautiful
Makana Botanical Gardens in
Grahamstown. The festival has grown out of the Albany Horticultural & Lilium Society’s popular Spring Flower Show that has taken place annually in Grahamstown for the past fifty years.
The array of colourful plants and flowers in the marquee always draw much admiration, and the workshops and the Botanical Society’s plant sale are well supported. The open gardens attract large numbers of people who enjoy walking quietly around the green havens created by the home owners.
The Festival offers a variety of stimulating activities and horticultural attractions, with something to offer the whole family!
