Mountain biking - canopy tours - horse and
hiking trails (including the renowned Otter Trail) and forest walks are all on your
doorstep. Also the Big Tree, Tsitsikamma Adventure Falls and quad bikes, bungy jump, and
next to the Otter Trail, the suspension bridge.
We offer self-catering and bed & breakfast accommodation. Full English breakfast is
served in the farmhouse. Tea and coffee in the cabin. Braai (barbecue) facilities are also
available.
ACCOMMODATION:
Tannenhof is a small guest farm offering a choice of bed & breakfast and self-catering
accommodation in four log cabins: three bed & breakfast and one self-catering. Each
cabin has an outside deck overlooking the Tsitsikamma mountains.
BED & BREAKFAST:
Each cabin has its own en-suite bathroom. There are tea and coffee making facilities in
each cabin and braai (barbecue) facilities outside. We have a fully equipped communal
kitchen and a small TV lounge. There are heaters and fans in each room.
Cabin 1: double bed (sleeper couch available for a couple with a young child)
Cabin 2: twin beds
Cabin 3: one double bed
Full English breakfasts are served in the farmhouse.
SELF CATERING CABIN:
This one bedroom log cabin with a shower cubicle sleeps 4. The bedroom has a double bed,
the lounge area a further 2 single beds. The kitchenette is fitted with a fridge (with
small freezer compartment), microwave oven, 2 hot plates, electric frying pan, kettle and
toaster.
Full English or continental breakfasts are served in the farmhouse. Let us know if you
have any special requirements in advance, we'll try to sort something out. Braai
(barbecue), table and chairs are outside on the deck. All bed linen and towels are
supplied.
ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS:
Mountain biking - horse & hiking trails - forest walks. Walking and cycling are an
ideal way to explore the Tsitsikamma region; following trails through the forests or along
the unspoilt coastline.
For the more adventurous there is Tsitsikamma Adventure falls or bungy jumping from the
Bloukrans Bridge (216m high). A little further afield but still within a half-hours scenic
drive are Natures Valley (with its lagoon, beaches and canoeing). A little further
on is Monkey Land, Birds of Eden and the Elephant Sanctuary where you can feed and touch
the elephants.
After an active day you can relax on your cabin deck and watch the sun setting over the
Tsitsikamma mountains. Tsitsikamma is the ideal place for the nature lover! |
