Nestled in the beautiful Sundays River Valley, Eastern Cape, South Africa, Valleyview is only 12km away from the famous Addo Elephant Park which is home to over 300 African elephants, Cape Buffalo, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.
ACCOMMODATION
After a day of taking in the sights and sounds of Africa, relax around our swimming pool. The bird-life at Valleyview and surrounding areas is abundant (reputedly about 200 species identified) and time spent in our well sighted bird-hide, overlooking the Sundays River and hundreds of hectares of pristine valley bushveld, is a must!! Our comfortable double en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated.

A full English breakfast is served and dinners can be eaten a nearby restaurant.
Port Elizabeth, the closest city to Addo, is easily accessible. It has some fine beaches and offers all the facilities and amenities that a modern city has to offer. Valleyview B&B is the ideal spot to either start or end your South African, Eastern Cape vacation.
ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES
Valleyview Bed and Breakfast rests high above the water of the Sundays River and here you can enjoy excellent hospitality in a malaria free environment. If wildlife and game spotting is what you are after, spend the day at the Addo Elephant Park and watch these incredible mammals roaming in wide open spaces, or visit the nearby private game reserves where the Big5, including African lion, may be spotted.
Besides the African game, Sundays River Valley holds a myriad of natural attractions: Renowned for its stunning Citrus Estates, beautiful roses and birdlife, visitors are guaranteed of much visual splendour and the nearby Zuurburg mountains boast spectacular hiking and horse riding trails. |

DIRECTIONS:
FROM PORT ELIZABETH:
Travel on the N2 in the direction of Grahamstown for about 12 kms. Take the "fly-off" marked Sundays River Valley / Addo Elephant Park / Motherwell / Markman. This exit is No. 761. At the stop sign on the bridge turn left onto the R335 and from this point travel approximately 38 kms to the village of Addo. There is a First National Bank on the left, followed by a small supermarket and then a petrol station (Kilmurray Garage). At the petrol station turn left onto a sand road and 200M on you will run through our gate. You will see our signs on the road just before the turnoff.
FROM COOKHOUSE/ CRADOCK:
Travel on the N10 in the direction of Port Elizabeth until reaching Paterson. At the cross road Paterson is on the right, but turn left for Addo. From this point, travel approximately 32 kms into the village of Addo. At the petrol station (Kilmurray Garage) turn right into Potgieter Circle, which is a short gravel road, running straight into our driveway. We are 200 meters off the Main Road (R335).
FROM EAST LONDON/ GRAHAMSTOWN:
Travel 57 kms on the N2 from Grahamstown then turn right at the sign marked Paterson/Shamwari Game Reserve. This is a gravel road for about 15 kms but becomes tarmac at the village of Paterson. Cross over the N10 at the stop sign and then follow directions as above, as for Cookhouse/Cradock.
FROM GRAAFF REINET:
Travel on the R75 towards Port Elizabeth. About 47km after passing the town of Wolvefontein turn left onto the R336. Drive through Kirkwood and at the 4-way stop street turn right and continue on towards Addo. When you arrive at the t-junction (after about 31km) turn right on to the R335 and at the petrol station in Addo turn right on to the gravel road. See Cookhouse/Cradock directions above.
