DESCRIPTION:

Sunshine cottage is situated high on the west bank of the Kowie River, facing north with spectacular views up the river from every window. Fully equipped self catering accommodation, only minutes to beaches, river, town centre and restaurants.

Sunshine Cottage is a fully equipped self catering cottage, only minutes to beaches, river, town centre and restaurants. If needed coffee, tea, sugar and milk will be provided for the first morning.

ACCOMMODATION


Two bedrooms, one has a double bed and the other has two single beds. Both bedrooms include built-in wardrobes with hangers, dressing table and mirror, side tables with lamps and a casual chair. Both rooms have heaters if needed. A separate dining area with a table, four chairs and a server.

FACILITIES


The cottage is fully equipped. All linen and bedding included, as well as two pillows per person, bath and hand towels each. Change of fresh linen. Client to bring own beach towels. Kitchenette has microwave, two plate hob, large fridge /freezer, toaster, kettle, good quality pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and all cooking utensils.

The lounge has TV, with DSTV and video machine. Comfortable two seater couches. Modern fully tiled bathroom with shower over the bath, hand basin and WC.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES


Braai facilities and equipment with outside furniture. Use of garage and off road parking for boat or trailer. Cottage totally secure. Arrangements can be made for domestic help for a nominal fee.

ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS


Beautiful beaches, river activities like water skiing, canoeing, river and deep sea cruises, scuba diving, beach and deep sea fishing. Pineapple Farms and inland historic sights at Bathurst and Grahamstown (home of the 1820 British Settlers).

Royal Port Alfred Marina and small boat harbour (availability to hire or launch boats). 43 Air School gives small aircraft and helicopter lessons. Game Park, Bradshaw’s Mill, Horseshoe bend view site of the Kowie River and Paradise Cheese Factory. Thirty-three different restaurants, Take-aways, Antique Dealers and a variety of attractive shops.

DIRECTIONS:

Port Alfred is half way between Port Elizabeth and East London with less than two hours drive from either town.

From Port Elizabeth:
If you enter Port Alfred from the Port Elizabeth side, pass the Garage on the left hand side next to Beavers Shop; take the second turning left called George Street. Drive straight down into the driveway of No 10 Pirie Lane (corner of George and Pirie – big hedge).

From East London:
If you enter Port Alfred from the East London side, drive straight through the town on the main road over the new bridge, through the robot and up the steep hill, then turn right into George Street (after Miles Street). Drive straight down into the driveway of No 10 Pirie Lane (corner of George and Pirie – big hedge).
