On-the-Summit Lodge, the lodge with a difference, uniquely situated on the hill in Beacon Bay overlooking one of the most picturesque, verdant, sub tropical valleys in South Africa. The lazily, meandering Nahoon River flowing through, draws one’s gaze across the lush green, towards the endless blue expanse of the Indian Ocean. At On-the-Summit Lodge peace and tranquillity meets you and lyrical bird calls awaits you.

The quiet and lush surroundings of on-the-summit lodge, attract a large population of varied bird life, giving one an impression of seclusion and yet one is only minutes away from the beauty and vibe of the Nahoon and Bonza Bay beaches.

Accommodation

All rooms are equipped with TV’s, M-Net and DSTV as well as DVD players. A selection of DVD’s are available for the use of our guests.

Facilities


If the beach is not one’s style, the outstanding recreational area and large sparkling swimming pool is there to entertain the leisure traveller and the wireless internet connection in the conservatory for the executive traveller. There is an ‘honesty bar’ in the conservatory for the use of all guests. Personal laundry can be done on the premises and washing bags are available in all the rooms.

Conferences


At On-the-Summit Lodge you can even find the perfect conference facility, catering to all your expectations. From a small intimate meeting, to a larger workshop or conference, catering for up to 30 delegates. Set in an ideal, tranquil environment with luncheons served in the beautiful garden, surrounded by nature. On-the-Summit also caters for year-end functions. The conservatory can seat up to 40 people for any formal evening function. Attention is always paid to detail when setting the tables.

DIRECTIONS:

From Port Alfred / Port Elizabeth:
Pass airport into Settlers Way; cross traffic circle and follow Fleet Street; Turn left into Fitzpatrick Street and follow road onto NE Expressway; Take Beacon Bay turn off and cross Nahoon River up Batting Road; Turn left into Sherwood Road and the first left into Summit Road.

From King Williamstown:
Follow the N2 and take the Beacon Bay turn-off up to the Stop; Turn left over the highway, passing Retail Park on the right-hand and the Hub on the left-hand side up to the first traffic circle; turn right into Edge Road (past the Caltex garage); Turn left into Ridge Road—Ridge Road becomes Summit Road.
