LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS

A mere 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth, this area enjoys mild winters with clear warm days and cool evenings. Home to the densest population of elephant together with lion, hyena, buffalo, black rhino and a variety of antelope including eland, zebra, hartebeest and more, a stay at the exclusive-use Long Hope Villa makes a memorable safari experience.

Special attention is also paid to the smaller and more unusual game such as the endangered flightless-dung beetle (found only here and in small parts of Namibia), the shy Cape fox, the more than 300 bird-species and many others. Famous to the National Park particularly however, are the Addo elephants with their gentle and unperturbed nature, quite unlike their relatives in the Kruger National Park and other parts of Africa.
