Situated in the Greater Addo Elephant National Park, and lying on the shores of the Park's Darlington Lake is the intimate Darlington Lake Lodge. With just five en-suite rooms, and seven en-suite tents, the lodge is a luxurious retreat in the heart of the Eastern Cape. Decorated in a contemporary African Colonial style, the lodge possesses the warmth and repose of home.

Rising out of the Karoo like an oasis, Darlington Lake Lodge is a quiet haunt nestled on the shores of the Darlington Lake and silhouetted against the backdrop of the Zuurberg Mountains. The Lodge, which is situated in the Addo Elephant National Park, boasts unique and exquisite fauna and flora of the region, including the rare Karoo Noors Cactus which is found nowhere else in the world. In an area that boasts among the most sunshine days in South Africa, Darlington Lake Lodge is a unique and worthwhile retreat.

ACCOMMODATION


With just six en-suite rooms, and seven en-suite tents, the lodge is a luxurious retreat in the heart of the Eastern Cape. Decorated in a contemporary African Colonial style, the lodge possesses the warmth and repose of home. All rooms offer hairdryers, heaters in all rooms, Mohair blankets in all rooms and Tea and Coffee making facilities with homemade biscuits.

Standard Room features: Twin or Queen beds, all rooms with en-suite bathrooms. En suite bathrooms some with showers others with baths.
Tent features: Twin and Queen beds. All tents with en-suite shower and toilet.
Honeymoon Suite: Four poster bed. En suite bathrooms with Victorian bath.

WEDDINGS


The intimate Darlington Lake Lodge located in the heart of the Greater Addo Elephant National Park, is a private and luxurious location for an exclusive safari style wedding accommodating up to 12 guests sharing. The five rooms are all en-suite while the honeymoon suite features a magnificent four-poster bed.

By Air
Port Elizabeth Domestic Airport
Airstrip on one of the farms approximately 20 km from the lodge

By Road
From Port Elizabeth follow the N2 North until the Cloverleaf intersection. From there follow the N10 towards Cradock. After approximately 52 Km take the Ann’s Villa R400 to the left, for approximately 76 km of gravel road until you get to the Addo/Darlington Lake Lodge entrance gate. The last 10 km is clearly sign posted to the lodge.
