Admittedly I am biased, I live here - but its a great suburb to base yourself in if you are in Cape Town on holiday. Reason is that you are very centrally placed to get to both the must see destinations easily (Atlantic Seaboard and False Bay Coast), half an hour from the Cape Winelands, 15 minutes to the V&A Waterfront and City Centre and all its attractions.

Claremont is a peaceful, lovely suburb that offers great views, great shopping (at Cavendish) easy access to Constantia, Kirstenbosch etc. etc. and all of Cape Town's plentiful attractions. You are a quick drive from everywhere when you stay in Claremont!
