A beautiful part of the country and an easy stop over if you're visiting the Addo Elephant Park. If you're interested in farming communities you'll find it even more interested.
There is actually a very good reason for visiting Addo - if you are planning on going to the Addo Elephant Park but don't want to pay the high prices for staying at the Game Lodges, the town of Addo is situated just at the entrance to the Park and has great accommodation options, NOT charging an arm and a leg! So you get to enjoy two worlds too - lovely South African country charm and then spend your days in the Park! Win Win!
Addo itself is a charming town too. You'll enjoy it! I go every year to see the Elephants and revisit this lovely village.
Great for a day or two before going into Addo Park, Addo is a nice village to explore. Lots of farms around, you can do a farm tour at Rosedale Organic Farm (was very intreresting) and we enjoyed a meal at Cosmos. I rate it a great stop over town!
Addo is such a rad place to visit, it is stunning
Had a good time in Addo, although the main reason to go here is to be close to the Addo Elephant Park. Not much going on in the town itself, although it is very pretty and people are super friendly!
