Hartbeespoort Dam

Baby Rhino born at De Ou Waenhuis Game Lodge

Baby Rhino born at De Ou Waenhuis Game Lodge - Magaliesberg:
Management and staff are delighted to announce the birth of our first baby White Rhino. She was born at 15:15 on Friday 2nd September and weighing in at an estimated 45 kgs. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

Director Peter Cossey stated “this continues an incredible year for us on the Plumari Africa Reserve. With baby giraffe and buffalo at the start of this year, our new baby rhino now, along with the pending lions and recent consistent leopard sightings our guests will be able to enjoy a fantastic wildlife experience all within an hour of Jo’burg or Pretoria”.
